For homes with a feature fireplace, we can build into the alcoves on either side of the chimney. These spaces are often awkward sizes, uneven or not square so are unsuitable for off-the-shelf bookcases, therefore bespoke carpentry and shelving is a great solution. This is also a great use of the space and gives you extra storage and makes a lovely feature of a room.

We offer a range of material choices to suit your style and taste. Our high-end paint finish can be provided in a colour of your choice and colour matched from any brand of paint such as Farrow & Ball. Cupboard interiors are best created using veneered wood or melamine as they are long lasting and don't bend or shift over time like some hardwoods. You can read more about your options for cupboard interiors here. Worktops, however, can built in a hardwood such as oak and give a quality overall look to your furniture.
If you choose to have cupboards then there are various options for handles. Firstly, you can choose to have no handles at all! These are opened with a push mechanism. Alternatively, handles can give your furniture real personality and are available in many styles and finishes. We can help you with your choices.

Existing sockets and electrics can be integrated into the bookcases or cupboards so you won't lose their function. We can also add cable management outlets to keep all your leads neat and tidy. Integrated lighting can be provided to highlight items on your bookcase and give depth to the shelves.
